1. It's all about the flick- Strength is important but the most important thing to remember is the snap of your wrist when you release the disc. Think of it like snapping a towel in gym class.
2. Putting is the key to the game- If you want to work on one part of your game that will take strokes off, you have to be able to putt.
3. Follow through on every throw- This helps ensure that you rotated your hips and shoulders, which is very important to throwing on target.
4. Release the disc level- Most discs are fairly stable and the line you put them on is where thy will stay, so work on releaseing the disc as level and flat as possible.
5. Distance will come- Don't focus on trying to throw as hard as you can, you will end up in the trees more often and hurt your arm. Distance will come as you gain strength and build your swing.
6. Drink!- Drink plenty of water, go buy a good water bottle and stay hydrated.
7. Grip It- Try multiple grips and go with what works. Control is the name of the game.
8. Rip It!- Power and distance come through momentum, so work on a throwing approach. There are a lot out there.
9. Right tool for the right job- Choose the right disc for different applications, get the lightest and most stable disc you can find to start out with.
10.Connect- Most importantly have fun, and meet new people!
